Jamie Dickson’s foremost role at Des Nedhe Group is responsibility for legal affairs.  He also oversees the retail and property divisions at an executive level and serves the Des Nedhe board of directors as the corporate secretary.

Prior to joining Des Nedhe in 2013, Mr. Dickson spent 3 years with a national business law firm in Calgary and six years as in-house counsel with a major mining company based in Saskatoon. He has also worked as an independent consultant for Indigenous communities both in Alberta and Saskatchewan. 

A published author, Mr. Dickson’s work has been cited by the Supreme Court of Canada and by lower courts. Notably, in 2015 he published a book entitled “The Honour and Dishonour of the Crown: Making Sense of Aboriginal Law in Canada” (UBC Press/Purich). He holds Bachelor degrees (including a legal degree) as well as a Master of Laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
