Jeffrey Skopyk

Director

Jeff Skopyk is a proud member of English River First Nation, raised on La Plonge Reserve where his family is deeply rooted. A Geoscientist by training, Jeff brings over a decade of international experience in critical mineral exploration, underground uranium mining, and open-pit metallurgical coal mining operations.

Now focused on advancing Indigenous economic development, Jeff serves as a Senior Project Manager and Mining & Exploration Professional. His work supports Indigenous leadership in land stewardship, natural resource consultation, and project implementation. He is also a founding member of the Rocky Mountain School District #6 Indigenous Education Council, where he serves as an advocate for all non-local Indigenous students residing within the Columbia Valley, BC.

Jeff holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Saskatchewan, complemented by international academic experience in Norway and a professional certification in Project and Change Management from Royal Roads University.
