Norman Wolverine

Elder Advisor

Norman Wolverine is a member of the English River First Nation and a long-time Lands and Resources advisor to the band. Mr. Wolverine grew up in Dipper Lake before being sent to residential school in Beauval at the age of seven. He worked as an RCMP officer and fire protection officer, but his heart has always been with the land. Mr. Wolverine is an experienced hunter, trapper and fisher and holds a strong commitment to sharing what he has learned.

He serves on the Northern Saskatchewan Environmental Quality Committee, the Collaboration Agreement Trust committee for ERFN and Cameco and is often sought out for his cultural and land-use expertise. Mr. Wolverine is a fluent Dene speaker who is regarded highly by his fellow community members.
