National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

At Des Nedhe Group, we join our Community, our companies and all Canadians in recognizing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Today, we honor the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and their families. This day serves as a powerful reminder of the painful and tragic history of residential schools, the intergenerational trauma experienced, and the ongoing journey of healing and reconciliation. 

Orange Shirt Day symbolizes the loss of culture, freedom, and self-esteem that Indigenous children endured over generations. It is a time to raise awareness and affirm the message that Every Child Matters — a call to reflect on our shared history and the collective responsibility to support healing and reconciliation across our Communities. 

We stand committed to this vital process, acknowledging the past and building a future of understanding, respect, and unity.
