Jeffrey Skopyk is a distinguished Professional Geoscientist with an extensive background in exploration geophysics, and open-pit and underground mining. With dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology and Geophysics from the University of Saskatchewan, and international experience from the University of Bergen, Norway, Jeffrey brings a global perspective to his work. Currently at Teck Coal Limited, he has demonstrated expertise in geological, geophysical, and geotechnical data management across Canada, the United States, and Chile. Jeffrey’s safety-focused approach has supported numerous mineral and energy exploration and production campaigns. His technical proficiency extends to software such as Vulcan and acQuire, contributing to significant advancements in uranium reserve estimation at Cameco Corporation. As a technical consultant for English River First Nation and a proactive member of various professional and volunteer organizations, Jeffrey combines his passion for geoscience with a commitment to Indigenous relations and environmental stewardship. His hobbies reflect a love for the outdoors and technological innovation, underpinning his dynamic and holistic approach to his professional and personal life.
